My name is Shannan. I am the Director founder of Phoenix rising. We are a registered NDIS provider.

I’ve worked between age care and community services since I was 17 years old my passion stemmed from some of my earliest memories of my grandmother having being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Throughout the last 25 years I have worked in age care disability Mental Health Youth residential drug and alcohol rehabs and managed other NDIS organisations. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing people on this path. 

I have also been a trainer assessor for 8 years from foundation skills through to advanced diploma in all facets of community services. I’m also a qualified drug and alcohol counsellor.

I am truly blessed to have an amazing team. honesty integrity and drive to make participants lives better and to fill the gaps that we find so often in the sector to allow participants to create their own path and help guide them along on their journey.

I’m currently on par to becoming a behaviour support practitioner as I have a keen understanding, interest and experience in complex behaviours.

When I have some down time I love to spend time with my family and children my youngest is 3, being diagnosed with ASD over 12 months ago.

But having the support from these people have made this journey possible and for that I am forever grateful
